How do I record audio to my computer using microphones with an XLR Input?

Would a USB/ Firwire type Audio Interface do the trick? Can I use it to do "voice-overs" in Adobe Premiere Pro?

It depends what kind of mic you have. If it's a condenser, that will need some sort of preamp with phantom power. If you're going for best quality, you should consider buying a good audio interface
