Tascam Audio Interface

Please can someone help me use my Mic on Cubase 5 through an audio interface.?

I am using a Mac. The mic I am using is a Bluebird Cardioid Condenser Microphone and the Audio interface a Tascam US-122 MKII Usb Interface. I have the mic plugged in but it doesn't pick up any sound. I have set input and output channels correctly. (I think.) I've been at this for almost a day and it's really starting to bug me. Instructions on everything to do would be useful. I've turned phantom power on too. Are you working with a through passthrough? You might want to check it.
