Garageband Backing Tracks
Help using M-Audio Fast Track Pro with GarageBand?
I recently upgraded my Fast Track interface for the Fast Track Pro (I needed Phantom Power). The problem I'm having is that I can't just plug and play like I did with my old Fast Track.
Here's what I've done:
1) Installed the latest driver from m-audio for Pro
2) In GarageBand preferences, selected Pro as my input
3) In Garageband, selected Channel 2 (mono) and turned the Monitor on
GarageBand is picking up no sound from my mic or guitar.
Does anyone know what I'm missing?
There are four 1/4" jacks on the back of the Pro - 2 are TRS Output and 2 are 'Inserts' - I've got my guitar patched through Insert 1...is this right??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The inserts are for outboard effects. You need to plug in through the front mic/line inputs.
